Just my thoughts on the US290 proposal from TxDOT and the future of Dripping Springs:
Save Dripping Springs with a highway bypass or any alternative street options, please!
Who am I? I’m nobody.
I am just a husband and father of four that travels US290 every week.
I am a Hays County resident since 2017 after Travis County since 2006.
I am NOT a civil or traffic engineer.
I am a software engineer that can read and understand studies, plans and drawings by other engineers.
I believe residents paying tax need reasonable, safe, efficient, roads that work for now and the future.
I believe all travelers need a working path headed west out of Austin without conflicting with local traffic.
I believe our Dripping Springs should NOT be destroyed by unlimited housing and Grade F traffic.
